In their desert setting, the pyramids possess a purity of form that is spellbinding, whatever the meaning given them. Latter-day artists have been stucek by them, no less tahm vositors of other times, and have offered their own interpretation of tjis unique complex of geometrical forms in drawings and sketches, and more rarely in finished paintings.
