Architecture is the main theme in the work of Magdalena Jesionek. She finds inspiration from Martin Heidegger's exploration that the meaning of humanity is to exist and existence is to live. Both notions form the original meaning of the verb 'to build'. The urban landscape and architecture offer the artist the ultimate opportunity to show man in relation to nature and in a socio-cultural context.

Magdalena Jesionek  studied interior architecture at the Art Academy of Krakow and painting at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She has shown in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Her work can be seen in the Historical  Museum of The Hague and many private collections in Europe and the United States.
